Dr. Pollard, a native of Toronto, Ontario, has been serving Toronto and surrounding communities since 1987 as a general dentist, and since 1991 as a certified orthodontist. She truly enjoys working with her patients and feels very fortunate to be part of a profession that not only contributes to the long term health of individuals but also to their sense of well being that goes along with having a beautiful smile. Dr. Pollard, along with her partner, Dr. Metaxas and their caring team of professionals, is dedicated to the art and science of orthodontics, and works hard to ensure that her patients receive the most outstanding care possible.
Dr. Pollard was educated and trained at both the University of Toronto and The University of Western Ontario. Dr Pollard has been exposed to a wide variety of treatment approaches and philosophies and, as a result, is able to treat a large range of orthodontic problems. She works with patients of all ages, using multiple treatment techniques, including, fixed appliances (braces), removable appliances, surgical orthodontics and invisible braces (Invisalign).
Dr. Pollard is dedicated to continuing her education in dentistry and orthodontics. In doing so, she is able to offer patients the most up-to-date treatments and advanced orthodontic care. Dr. Pollard is a member of several prestigious dental and orthodontic organizations, including the:
She is also serving as Vice President of the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry Alumni Association. In the past, Dr. Pollard has worked as a clinical instructor in the Undergraduate Clinic at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Pollard has always enjoyed athletics. She grew up playing golf and swimming and as a dental student she was a member of the University of Toronto rowing team. More currently she plays tennis and tries to work out when she can!
Dr. Pollard and her children live in Toronto where she has been involved in the Family and School Association of the school her children have attended. She has served on the External Committee and been Co-President of the Association. Dr. Pollard’s favourite pastime is spending time with her children and being an active part of their lives.
